With more family members working from home it’s important not to over clutter our surroundings when space is already tight.
One trend I’ve noticed for this holiday season is to keep things simple, clean and fresh.”
Modern trees in neutral colors that add just the right amount of holiday without being over complicated is another trend I’ve been noticing. I’ve ordered a few wooden ones from Target’s Studio McGee line and found some neutral muted green and white ones in the dollar spot section at Target.

Printable artwork of winter scenes have been very popular this year. It’s a simple, affordable way to update your space. Just swap out whatever you have in your existing photo frames for images of snow covered trees, vintage ice skating images or reindeer. I found these two on Etsy for around $5.00 here and here. I printed them out at home on white premium matte photo paper but you can also have them printed at Staples.

Tiny faux evergreens are in just about every store you walk into this year. So I picked up some inexpensive ones at Target in the Hearth and Hand with Magnolia collection for $5 a piece. These faux stems are also from the Hearth and Hand with Magnolia collection at Target. I placed them in a piece of pottery my mother-in-law gave me and love the rustic look it adds against the modern trees.

And if you don’t feel up for going all out this year, lighting a holiday scented candle and putting on some Christmas music is perfect too!
