Thanksgiving might look a little different this year, but there are still simple ways to dress up your table and celebrate the blessings in your life. I first start with a nice table linen and layer in a textured runner to add a little dimension. You can also use a wide piece of silk ribbon or even a fall scarf that you already have. After I have that base, I use the colors in the linens as my color scheme and shop my house looking for vases, faux flowers, candle sticks, fresh fruit, and fall decor that I can use to start building the tablescape.
I shopped my backyard in search of pine cones, acorns and branches. These natural elements work beautifully on the table as well.”

Since our table is small this year, I did not want to overcrowd the space so I kept with one low centerpiece and scattered in a few ceramic pumpkins I had.
I found these wonderful wheat bunches in the bridal section of Hobby Lobby.

Dessert can also be a part of the decor when placed on a pretty pedestal or platter with a few faux leaves tucked in.

When I have out of town guests I love including local food and drinks like pies made by our local upstate NY farms and wine from Old Tavern Farm Winery, right here in Saratoga Springs. It adds a special touch and makes everyone feel at home. ❤️
